Active Listening

Active listening..lemme think..i remember while i was growing up, my parents and my grandparents told me how to live my life. they told me not to do drugs and alcohol. when i sleep at my grandmas house she tells me to try my best to graduate high school and after i graduate high school she told me to to try and get a job so i will be able to get the things i want and so i wont be asking for money from my parents as the days go on. she told me not to be a drug addict like other people and she said to me, if i start doing drugs and alcohol i wont have anything, i wont have much money and i will not be able to get the things i need. she also said when i get paid i should not go off buying tobacco and go out to other villages and go back and forth for a long time.
my parents, they tell me the same thing and when i get into trouble with something they tell me to try and not to get into trouble again and do my best in school so i can graduate and after high school they want me to go to college so i can get a good job and so i can have things i need for transportation and other things important in life...
